What is Dating4Christians?

Dating4Christians is about helping single Christians create successful, long-lasting relationships. Using the Internet, dating4christians is able to learn greatly about its members and match them with other members based on deep and meaningful characteristics.

How does it work?

In its simplest form, a subscriber enters his or her details into our database, with information of the type of relationship they are looking for. The subscriber then sits back as our powerful database system goes to work. When it finds that special person, it will automatically alert the subscriber via the Cupid function.

Are the members on this site screened?

A valid email address is required in order to obtain the full benefit of this site. Anyone abusing the services will be banned. However, our service is otherwise confidential. There is no way that we can do extensive background checks on members, and we expect you to understand that we cannot take responsibility for any pain, damage or suffering arising from your use of this site. Please use your common sense and be careful about giving out personal information to people you meet on this site.

Are guest members allowed on the site?

To maintain the privacy of the members the guests are not allowed to browse the listings unless they also become a member.

Is my identity and personal information secure?

Yes your private information is secure. To further secure you information we even insist that you do not publicly disclose any private information such as name, address, phone number etc about you on the site. Our concern for our members' security is such that inclusion of such private information on the public area of our site is not permitted.

How do I become a member, and what types of membership are available?

You become a member by filling in the simple Membership Form on our site. Dating4Christians offers 2 types of membership:

• Standard Membership -- Those subscribing to become Free member with limited access.

• Gold Membership -- Those subscribing to become Paid member with full benefit of the site, including priority response to questions.

How much does it cost to become a member?

Standard Membership -- Free.

Gold Membership -- To fully utilize the services/benefits of the site, you need to become a paid member.

For any good thing to develop it takes time, effort, and patience. Keeping the secret to success in mind, the company offers great savings to help its members stay consistent in their approach.

How do I pay for the membership?

Can I get a refund if I resign?

Dating4Christians does not normally give refunds, and does not pro-rate subscription.

Why was my credit card transaction denied?

There are many reasons for this, but you can readily resolve any problems by contacting the card issuer. The main reasons for this are usually:

• Your card has expired

• Your billing address does not match the card statement.

Do you have tips on how to create profiles?

The number of replies you get from other members will depend greatly on the quality of your profile. Here are some helpful tips that will help you:

Upload a photograph

People like to see whom they're writing to and as a result, profiles with photographs get up to ten times more clicks as profiles that don't have one. You can either upload a photo from a digital camera or by scanning in the picture then uploading it.

Create a catchy title for your profile

When members search listings on the site, the title of your profile is listed next to your name. As a general rule, profile titles like 'Hi!' does not catch people's attention, where as more personalized titles do.

Think before you write

Feel free to write as much as you want in our 'If I want to describe myself I would say' section of the Membership Form.

Tell other members about yourself, for instance

Your likes and dislikes, things you enjoy doing, what line of work you're in, what your personality is like, even your hopes and dreams. The better your profile describes you, the more likely it is that others will read and respond to it. If you can't think of anything right away, you can always add more of it later. And don't forget to fill out the optional profile questions - these will also help other members get to know you even better.

Are profiles censored, and is there any limit to what I can put in my profile?

Yes! All profiles are censored. Dating4Christians Membership team approves all members' profiles, when they are originally created as well as when they are modified. We reserve the right to refuse any profile or photograph that we feel is inappropriate for this site. Also, we ask that you do not put any personal information etc, in your profile, including but not limited to:

• Any direct contact information (i.e., email addresses, URLs, phone numbers, full names, addresses)

• Any location or descriptive information that threatens a member's anonymity

• Abusive language of any kind (i.e., vulgarity, racism)

• Discussion or descriptions of illegal acts or behaviour (i.e., drug use, violence)

• Business or political advertisements or solicitations

• Material that exploits or solicits personal information from other individuals

• Unauthorized use of copyrighted or trademarked material

Dating4Christians does not accept content from: Individuals under the age of 18. Because this is a violation of our Terms of Use, repeat offences may result in the termination of your account without warning or refunds.

How long does it take to have my profile posted?

It usually takes 1-5 business days to have your profile posted, depending on how many people sign up each day. In most cases the profile should be up within 24 hours after the sign up process is complete. If 5 days have passed and your profile still has not been posted, please notify us via Contact Us page.

How do I update my profile?

To update your profile, please follow these steps:

1.    Log into the site using your Username and Password.

2.    Click on the 'Edit Profile' located on the left hand side of the page.

Make all necessary changes and then scroll to the bottom of the page and click 'Save Changes'.

Why/How do I upload my Photograph(s)?

Looking at photos is an important part of most people's selection process. A nice picture of you adds personality and presence to your profile and profiles with photos get browsed ten times more often than those without photos.

What are the guidelines for posting a photo?

Photographs will not appear on the site until they are approved by our customer services. We reserve the right to reject any photo at our discretion. Our system automatically crops all photos to fit into our standard size.

Photo Content

Nude, obscene, sexual or otherwise offensive photos will not be posted. Cartoon characters and photos of celebrities are copyrighted and will not be posted.

You must be in the photo and clearly visible. Images of minors (children) will ensure rejection of the photograph.

Photo Tips

Choose a recent photo that reflects your current appearance. Use a photo of yourself alone for your primary image.

Try group photos for other non-primary images.

How do I post a photo?

Upload a Photo

Firstly you have to login into the site with your username and password. Click on 'Upload Photos', located on the left side of the page and follow the instructions.

Once approved, uploaded photos will be posted as they are submitted. Our system automatically crops your photo if necessary before uploading it. Due to the volume of photos that we receive, it may take up to 5 working days for your photo to appear on your profile.

How do I temporarily turn off my profile?

To 'turn off' your profile so that other members cannot see it, please follow these steps:

1.    Log into Dating4Christians with your username and password.

2.    Click on the 'Control Panel' or 'Edit Profile' link on the left hand side of the page.

3.    Click on 'Suspend Account' that appears in Blue and follow the instruction.

4.    If you later want to reverse it, go back into the same page and click on 'Activate Account'.

How do I permanently remove my listing and delete my account?

To permanently delete your profile, go to 'Control Panel' and click on 'unregister me' link. This is not recommended in case you later change your mind. Moreover, you can safely suspend your account and no one will be able to view your profile.

I forgot my username and/or password, what do I do?

Simply follow the link to our home page and under members login section, click on 'Forgot' for our automated password/Username lookup form. Your username and password is then emailed to your email account.

How do I change my password?

1.    Log into the site using your username and password.

2.    Click on the 'My Profile' and scroll down to where your password is.

3.    Enter your new password in the appropriate box and click on the 'Submit' button at the bottom of the page.

How do I change my email address?

1.    Log into the site using your username and password.

2.    Click on the 'Edit Profile' and scroll down to where your email address is.

3.    Enter your new email address in the appropriate box and click on the 'Save Changes' button at the bottom of the page.

How do I search for other members?

There are three ways that you can search our database: by username, by id or by choosing other selection criteria.

If you are looking for a specific person and you remember their username or id, enter it in the 'User Name' or 'User Id' field at the top of the Search Page.

If you are not looking for a specific person, but rather someone who matches a description you give, then select other fields on the Extensive Search Page. You can search by almost any category of information that we keep track of, including sex, location, languages spoken, etc.

How do I send 'A Kiss!' to other members?

1.    You need to be logged in with your membership detail.

2.    Carry out a 'username' search of the member.

3.    When the member's detail appears, click on the link 'Send A Kiss!’

How do I send emails to members?

Only Subscribed Members can initiate email contact with other members: To contact other members please follow these steps:

1.    Log into the site using your username and password.

2.    Click on the 'Search Profiles' link.

3.    Enter the username of the member you wish to contact into the 'username' search field, or select your search preferences and click on the 'Search' button to see your results.

4.    Click on a 'Contact' icon below the member's summary profile and proceed accordingly. Type the Subject, Write your message, and click on 'Send', to send your message.

Standard (Non Paying) members: Standard members are allowed to view as many numbers of profiles as they wish but cannot email any member.

How do I get emails from other members?

Dating4Christians uses a sophisticated emailing system. When you get mail, it goes into your mailbox on Dating4Christians, and you are also automatically notified in your private email address. (The sender does not get to see your private email address. This double emailing is driven by our database.) This will present you with a link back to Dating4Christians, where you can then log in as usual to read your mail.

How do I block members from contacting me?

1.    Log into the site using your username and password.

2.    Carry out a 'username' search of the member.

3.    When the member's detail appears, click on 'Block'.

What is the Cupid Service and how do I use it?

The Cupid service allows you, as a Dating4Christians member to select a variety of personal characteristics that you're looking for in a person, and the site will then notify you via emails of new Dating4Christians members who match your preferences. In other words, you will receive prompt notification of new members without having to come to the site every day to look for them yourself.

How do I turn on/off my Cupid emails?

To turn on/off Cupid reports, please follow these steps:

1.    Log into the site using your username and password.

2.    Click on 'Edit Profile' located on the left side of the page.

3.    Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on 'Do Not Notify Me'.

4.    Go to the bottom of the form and click on button 'Save Changes'.

What is the 'Hot List' feature?

Your Hot List is a list of members whom you are interested in. It maintains a link to their profile. When you do a search and click on 'Hot List' icon, the member is added to your Hot List. You can later remove people from your Hot List by clicking on the 'Delete' checkbox next to their name under 'Communicator' area.

How do I upload my voice?

To Upload Voice, please follow these steps:

1.    Log into the site using your username and password.

2.    Click on 'Upload Voice' from the left navigation bar.

3.    Use the BROWSE button to select the audio file you want to use. Press UPLOAD button to upload your voice.

4.    You may also use 'aeMedia' link to upload your voice.

How do I upload my video?

To Upload Video, please follow these steps:

1.    Log into the site using your username and password.

2.    Click on 'Upload Video' from the left navigation bar.

3.    Use the BROWSE button to select the video file you want to use. Press UPLOAD button to upload your video.

How do I use Instant Messenger?

To use Instant Messenger, please follow these steps:

1.    Log into the site using your username and password.

2.    Click on 'Search Profiles' to select the member you would like to have private messaging with.

3.    View the member profile details and click on 'Add IM' link.

4.    Click on 'Instant Messenger' from the left navigation bar.

5.    Use the Instant Messenger.

How do I use the Chat feature?

To use Chat Session, please follow these steps:

1.    Log into the site using your username and password.

2.    Click on 'Chat' from the left navigation bar.

3.    Use the Chat Session.
